New programs coming and some other news

For some time, I have been wanting to write Crosslinker FM for QT5. The previous is now being done and a new pure QT5 file manager named as Sequence FM will arrive very soon. Sequence FM will introduce many upgrades/features and it will be very fast. For Sequence FM I chose a more traditional approach when it came to the interface. In other words, you should be able to get used to it easily. I am still coding features, which meansĀ  that the complete list will be revealed upon release.

The second newcomer is HTML-GTK Player, which means that HTML5 playback will be enabled easily for Youtube and Dailymotion – and there will be no longer a need to use Flash. Continue reading

Coming soon on Techtimejourney and an outline of PostX Gnu/Linux 0.4

My workflow with my significant coding projects, which will certainly end up to become part of PostX Gnu/Linux 0.4 is as follows:

Volcontrol(Universal volume control program for Pulseaudio): 8th of August.

Crosslinker FM v.5 (Adding: trashcan, “multiple files delete”, music player integration, notification integration): 10th of August.

After the above two are done I will turn my attention to RunIT browser. As the web browser will provide a nice challenge it will certainly take some time before I can code it to become exactly what I want. After all these three projects are done, I will do some art and theme designs and then start building the PostX 0.4 release beta.

Note. The new Crosslinker code is already done and Volcontrol code is almost done. You still have to wait a bit because I want to make absolutely sure that the quality is as good as I want it to be. After all, I want people to enjoy as bug free life as possible (because programming bugs are not cool).

What will be included in PostX 0.4 Continue reading

Techtimejourney has left Facebook

Facebook, what can I say. It can be good for highlighting content but sometimes it can turn out to be somewhat unneeded. Ultimately, my reasoning for leaving Facebook -regarding to Techtimejourney- comes down to producing more versatile content, which is what I am currently planning on doing. The amount of releases and stuff that is incoming will be higher and even at the current rate, IĀ  felt a bit like a Facebook spammer when I announced my new entries on Techtimejourney’s Facebook page.

Also, for a website like this Facebook is not the best fit. As I aim to produce content, I ended up doing just the opposite with Facebook (because it is all about posting links). Techtimejourney has always been and will always continue to be a place for versatile content and Facebook does not really fit to the picture anymore. So after all, Techtimejourney’s Facebook page has now been taken down. Techtimejourney will however continue producing content and next up is a release of a terminal client “Quick Terminal”, which will (finally) happen on Tuesday.
