Change backgrounds using Nitrogen
On many occasions I have mentioned a program called Feh, which is a picture viewer and a great background setting tool. As good as Feh is on a lightweight desktop, sometimes a user might wish for a graphical alternative to it. That is where a program called Nitrogen comes in. Openbox theme installation: Just download the theme archive and then open it. The theme will be automatically installed to your .themes folder which is found inside your user’s home directory. Note: Do make sure that you have the obconf installed. Obconf handles the theme installations in Openbox
To apply wallpapers you can use, for example, feh:
feh –bg-scale backgroundname.png

Keyboard layout values in Linux
As I have many times used setxkbmap to set my keyboard language in Linux it has proven to be a good tool for the job.(usage example: setxkbmap en)
