PostX 0.3 beta status and update

PostX 0.3 beta’s original release date was supposed to be today. Unfortunately, I have not been able to finalize things due to an injury, which took place during Monday. Due to this unfortunate event I have been quite off from computer during the last few days. Rest assured PostX 0.3 is soon complete. Since I have been able to pick up some slack now I am quite sure that the beta will arrive within seven days. The current target date is around 5th of August -or even sooner if everything goes really well.

Here are the features, which will appear on PostX 0.3. beta Continue reading

PostX 0.3 first beta release date and timetable

As I am currently working towards making the next PostX release, which will have some extensive changes, I am pleased to announce that the first beta release will become available on Monday 31st of August. Before the given date I will try to push all the remaining things, which came with the previous PostX version, to my website for a larger public. I will also do some updates to the PostX 0.2.5 base, which will include at least:

A more recent kernel, a more recent audax-programs package and possibly some artwork tune-ups. The plan is to do a more robust kernel, which will be included to both PostX 0.2.5 and 0.3 versions. The audax-programs package will also continue be as identical as possible between the releases. Also, the plan is to continue maintaining a more active approach to kernel building once PostX 0.3. is released. I will try to find time during the next weekend to build a new kernel, which I will then push to both current and beta repositories of PostX

The schedule looks like this now. Continue reading

PostX 0.2.5 released (Was Audax Gnu/Linux)

PostX Gnu/Linux is finally here. The name has changed along with many other things. Even when things took way longer than I originally expected I am very pleased to anounce this release since it serves as a clear pathway towards things to come. Currently, this is likely to be the last major release with Debian Wheezy base. However, as the shift to Jessie base gradually happens I will continue to maintain the Wheezy base as well by adding minor fixes. Now, go ahead and enjoy PostX 0.2.5, which still has a long time to go before EOL since Debian Wheezy will be LTS release like its predecessor.
