PostX development update

Here is a short update about PostX 0.3 development.

* Slim display manager is coming back with a new theme.

* PostX 0.3. will use Bluez 4 (if possible) so that the Bluez-alsa connection does not break. Bluez5 currently has no support for Alsa.

*Miimo compression tool will get fixed. While the fixes have already been done I will do someĀ  testing before I release the fix.

* Currently I am writing a new file manager. I decided to name this project as Crosslinker FM. The file manager is written in Python and will hopefully be done in about 1,5 months or a lot sooner. I am also considering about writing a GUI version of Miimo compression tool, which I would include and later integrate to Crosslinker FM. Continue reading

PostX 0.3 beta status and update

PostX 0.3 beta’s original release date was supposed to be today. Unfortunately, I have not been able to finalize things due to an injury, which took place during Monday. Due to this unfortunate event I have been quite off from computer during the last few days. Rest assured PostX 0.3 is soon complete. Since I have been able to pick up some slack now I am quite sure that the beta will arrive within seven days. The current target date is around 5th of August -or even sooner if everything goes really well.

Here are the features, which will appear on PostX 0.3. beta Continue reading

PostX 0.2.5 released (Was Audax Gnu/Linux)

PostX Gnu/Linux is finally here. The name has changed along with many other things. Even when things took way longer than I originally expected I am very pleased to anounce this release since it serves as a clear pathway towards things to come. Currently, this is likely to be the last major release with Debian Wheezy base. However, as the shift to Jessie base gradually happens I will continue to maintain the Wheezy base as well by adding minor fixes. Now, go ahead and enjoy PostX 0.2.5, which still has a long time to go before EOL since Debian Wheezy will be LTS release like its predecessor.
